La Chaumière de Sauveterre




The Cothill Educational Trust has recently acquired this attractive family property alongside the Château de Sauveterre, (another of the Trust schools ) in the south of France. It is near Toulouse, with the Pyrenees on the far horizon.



This new venture is in response to the demand from our parents to open up the Sauveterre experience to our younger children in Years 4 and 5, for whom a short stay of a long week-end is more suitable than a whole term abroad!



At La Chaumière, our children are fully immersed in French life and culture. With the help of the French locals they practise the ‘theory’ that they have learnt in school, but outside the classroom in the community.

The whole experience promotes a love of language, gives our children a chance to build their confidence and allows them to become more independent, but in a very secure environment.
